STATEMENT.
The two creative leads at BRINK set out to better understand the psychological and cultural impact of our work. What we uncovered shocked us, as we identified the deeper causes behind the seemingly endless culture war disrupting more and more of our daily lives.
Emboldened with this deeper understanding of our work, we created a podcast called This Is Propaganda, available on a platform of your choice.
We focused season one on the history and evolution of propaganda as the foundation of virtually all contemporary marketing, public relations and branding while offering some new perspectives on how corporate propaganda has inadvertently created or exacerbated many societal issues today.
To support the IP, we developed a sophisticated brand system.
They don’t all come easy, but this one did.
The big idea: we would subvert the most common consumer propaganda we see in our daily lives in every visual or word choice we make. That includes the creation of our first ever mascot that is totally not copyright infringement in any way.
We had a lot of fun doing it. And it turns out fun, so long as it's focused, is exactly how you make impactful brands.
The pod won a Webby award because it's damn good.
But we’re sure the brand helped too.
